Las Puertas Reclaimed Wood Earrings are inspired by my recent travels and reflections. Measuring 2 inches tall not taking into account the ear wires, they are nonetheless incredibly lightweight. The sterling silver ear wires are hand-formed and great for those with sensitive ears. The top portion is hand-painted in turquoise and adobe.
We go through this world choosing to be guided by love or fear. Which door are you choosing? When we are guided by love we allow things to unfold freely. When we are fearful, we seek to control and force.
New Mexico’s blue doors have a history rooted in the two dominant cultures of New Mexico. The Spanish believed the color blue to ward off evil spirits. In the Taos Puebloan culture area it is more commonly explained to represent one of the four sacred directions (the southwest).
These reclaimed USA barn wood earrings are sustainably made to order. Though the wood is durable, they should be stored with care as with any vintage item.
